到目前为止,国内外的研究中还未有涉及到有关美国小说家杰瑟明.韦斯特的短篇小说《倒霉的图书馆员》的题材。本文试从对比小说中两位主要人物的理想及其悲剧性的破灭中探索出个人力量的弱小在社会强势力量下的毁灭。从而警醒世人在试图改变自我,实现自我理想的过程中树立独立的人格和自主意识,汲取大众力量,坚持不懈地追求理想的实现。 Up to now, there have not been any topics involved in the research at home and abroad concerning the short story “Unlucky Librarian” about the American novelist Jessie West. This paper attempts to explore the idealist ideal of the two main characters in the comparative novels and the tragedy of the tragedies to find out the weakness of the individual strength and the destruction under the powerful social forces. This warns the world to establish an independent personality and sense of autonomy in the process of trying to change themselves and realize their own ideals, learn from the mass forces and persistently pursue the realization of their ideals.
