本文研究了萱草根的毒性,证明药物的毒性主要集中于根部,萱草根的毒性尚稳定,即使在22—35℃的范围内,其对小白鼠的毒性亦无明显的差异,药物在宿主体内有很大的积蓄作用,同时感染血吸虫病的动物对药物的耐受性较未感染的显著为低,试验结果说明,用米泔水泡制法不能减低药物的毒性,但在120℃干烘4小时则可使药物的毒性降低1倍以上。此外,黄连、黄柏与萱草根配伍时可解除药物的部分毒性,并且可以提高萱草根连续多次口服的剂量。
