人们常掺加高效减水剂和能够提高强度的掺合物(如钢渣、矿渣等)来提高混凝土密实度,而很少从粗集料角度入手提高混凝土强度。综合多种级配理念,选取骨架结构粗集料级配,运用均匀设计法进行高强度混凝土工作性试验,回归分析试验结果。通过试验结果分析可知,均匀设计安排试验可以大量减少试验工作量;坍落度随水灰比、砂率的增大呈线性增大,随着钢渣掺量的增大而呈线性减小;减水剂释放出被包裹在水泥颗粒絮凝结构中的游离水增大了坍落度;在水还未与水泥完全发生化学反应前,大部分水基本起润滑流动作用;砂率增大撑开骨架而使坍落度增大的幅度,要远大于因砂率增大而使比表面积增大对坍落度减小的幅度。
