Neuroblastoma is a common malignant solid tumor in children. Its efficacy and prognosis are related to age of onset, clinical stage, and biological behavior. In recent years, the application of flow cytometry (FCM) to detect the DNA content of tumor nuclei has provided important information for further understanding of the biological characteristics and clinical relationship of tumor cells. With the improvement of detection methods for fresh tumor samples, Hedley first applied FCM technology to detect DNA content in paraffin-embedded tumor tissues in 1983, providing a retrospective study.
