温家宝总理在《大力发展职业教育座谈会》上的讲话,似如职教界的一声春雷,又一次震撼着中华大地,全国职教院校蓬勃兴起。从全国范围内看,西部地域广阔,经济发展潜力巨大,和东部相比,西部工业落后,农业低效,人才匮乏,劳动力素质低,加之教育基础设施薄弱,这就急需发展中等职业教育。中等职业教育是大众教育、平民教育,那么如何大力发展西部中职教育? Premier Wen Jiabao’s speech at the “Symposium on Vigorous Development of Vocational Education” is like a spring thunder of the vocational and education circles, once again shaking the vast land of China and the vigorous rise of vocational education institutions across the country. From a nationwide perspective, the western region has a vast area with a huge potential for economic development. Compared with the eastern part, the backward industries in the west, inefficient agriculture, lack of qualified personnel and low-quality workforce combined with weak educational infrastructures urgently need to develop secondary vocational education. Secondary vocational education is public education, civilian education, then how to develop western vocational education?
