探讨不同能量和剂量的质子束辐照西瓜干种子的诱变效应。质子辐照可诱发有丝分裂行为异常,染色体结构变异———产生微核、染色体桥、染色体断片等;随着质子束能量和剂量的提高,染色体畸变细胞率呈增加趋势;质子束还引起雌花着生节位的降低、果实提早成熟和瓤质改善。通过质子束处理已选育出了M8451-31-23-5-6-1-1、M24812-3-36-12-1-1-1等有价值的西瓜突变材料。
