本文主要从某高校英语专业中挑选出88名受试者,让其分别对20个RP英语元音进行感知,实证结果发现,英语专业大学生的RP英语元音整体感知能力并不高仅为75%,其中学生对后元音感知能力最高达到了80%,中元音的感知能力相对要低很多,仅为70%。笔者进行了进一步的研究发现,之所以会产生上述与众多原因相关,下文笔者将进行详细的介绍。希望能够为英语专业教师语音以及口语教学提供帮助。 This paper mainly selected 88 subjects from a college English majors and let them perceive 20 RP English vowel respectively. The empirical results show that English majors’ overall perceived ability of RP English vowels is not as high as 75 %, Of which students perceived ability of the highest vowel up to 80%, the vowel perception is relatively much lower, only 70%. The author conducted a further study found that the reason will produce the above and many reasons, the author will carry out a detailed introduction below. I hope to help English speakers and spoken language teaching.
