World War II made the Japanese economy severely damaged. After the war, the Japanese people with tenacious fighting spirit actively introduced advanced foreign technologies and capital, promoted the upgrading of domestic industries, and emphasized the development of science and education. And thanks to the post-war U.S. policy of postponing Japan, Japan has made remarkable achievements. However, in the late 1980s, Japan experienced a “bubble economy.” With the collapse of the bubble economy in the early 1990s, the Japanese economy experienced a great depression, which has so far not completely eliminated the impact on Japan’s economy. By analyzing the reasons for the formation and collapse of Japan’s bubble economy, this paper puts forward some suggestions to prevent the emergence of a bubble economy in a country that is in a period of rapid economic growth.
