On May 2, the State Judiciary in Santa Catarina, Brazil, halted the construction of a 240-meter high-rise building on grounds of environmental damage. The building is still in its groundbreaking stage and, if completed, is expected to become the tallest building in Brazil. The building is planned to be built 80 km from Florianópolis, the capital of the state. The 60-storey building, named Infinity Coast, was originally planned to be completed in 2017. Santa Catarina State Environmental Protection Foundation considers one of the buildings
