Objective To investigate the differential expression of TGF-β1, carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and cancer antigen 125 (CA125) in pathological types of lung cancer. Methods Totally 90 lung cancer patients admitted from October 2013 to June 2015 were selected as observation group and 30 healthy volunteers were selected as control group. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and chemiluminescence (CLIA) to detect the levels of TGF-β1, CEA and CA125 in sera of two groups of patients and compare the expression of TGF-β1, CEA and CA125 in serum of patients with different pathological types of lung cancer. Results The expression levels of TGF-β1 (30.07 ± 12.89) ng / ml, CEA (46.12 ± 3.59) U / ml and CA125 (60.13 ± 9.18) U / ml in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group The positive rate of tumor markers in adenocarcinoma group, squamous cell carcinoma group and small cell group was higher than that in control group (P <0.01), but no significant difference was found between TGF-β1 and control group (P> 0.05). The positive rates of CEA and CA125 in adenocarcinoma were higher than those in squamous cell carcinoma and small cell carcinoma (P <0.05). The positive rates of CEA and CA125 in squamous cell carcinoma were higher than those in small cell carcinoma (P <0.05). Conclusion The detection of serum tumor markers TGF-β1, CEA and CA125 is of great significance in the diagnosis of lung cancer. The detection of serum CEA and CA125 is of certain value in the diagnosis of lung cancer.
