In recent years, the grade of ore iron processed by the mining enterprises selected by the former Ministry of Metallurgy of the Soviet Union has been reduced by 1.0% -1.5%, thus increasing the grinding and dressing costs by 10% -15%. One of the ways to reduce the cost of dip-magnetite processing is to separate the fractured ores into three products before the energy-intensive grinding and wetting processes: coarse-grained ores, fine-grained ores and gangue. The coarse grade impregnated ore with iron grade up to 50% -55% can be used as sinter concentrate. If you do not need to separate this material, the coarse-grained ores and fine-grained ores can be individually sorted using a wet-type magnetic separator to avoid over-milling the magnetite and reducing the energy costs associated with ore processing.
