Objective To investigate the clinical effect of cholesterol absorption inhibitor combined with moderate-intensity atorvastatin in the treatment of elderly patients with coronary heart disease with dyslipidemia. Methods Totally 86 elderly patients with coronary heart disease with poor blood lipids admitted from June 2013 to June 2015 were randomly divided into two groups with 43 cases in each. The control group was treated with moderate-intensity atorvastatin. The observation group was treated with cholesterol absorption inhibitor combined with moderate-intensity atorvastatin. The levels of blood lipids and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results The levels of TC, TG and LDL-C in the observation group after treatment were significantly lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the observation group and the control group (P> 0.05). Conclusion Cholesterol absorption inhibitor combined with moderate-intensity atorvastatin treatment of poor lipid control in elderly patients with coronary heart disease can significantly reduce blood lipid levels, adverse reactions less worthy of promotion.
