In addition to the art galleries, there are only a handful of art spaces in Shanghai: AM Art Space, Goethe’s Open Space, and Non-Art Center. Starting in 2013, Chi K11 and the M50 Art Space also joined the ranks. After a series of lectures on art galleries and education, the opening ceremony was held on ChiK11 Art Space under the K11 Art Fund on May 24th: “Art, Beauty, Freedom and Money - The Emerging Art of Social Media ”. Curator Li Zhenhua cites the Rockefeller Foundation’s media art and laboratory survey commissioned by Michael Naimark in 2010 to respond in an exhibition. On the afternoon of the opening day, many unwitting shopping malls were heard by customers. They took the escalators to the basement three floors and lined with 26 new media pieces from 28 artists at home and abroad.
