词汇量不足成为制约学生英语水平提高的瓶颈,通过对大学生英语词汇教学与习得的现状所做的调查研究,发现主要存在两个主要问题:一是教师缺乏有效的词汇教学方法,不能有效地结合构词法知识、词语文化内涵、语境、上下义关系、同义词和一词多义等知识进行词汇教学;二是学生词汇记忆方法陈旧,以死记硬背为主。据此,依照利奇的词汇的七种意义理论和认知语言学相关理论,提出了解决这一问题的对策。
The lack of vocabulary has become a bottleneck restricting the improvement of students’ English proficiency. Through investigations into the current situation of college students’ English vocabulary teaching and acquisition, it is found that there are two main problems: First, teachers lack effective vocabulary teaching methods and cannot effectively The vocabulary teaching is combined with the knowledge of word formation, the cultural connotation of words, the context, the relationship between the upper and lower meanings, the synonyms and polysemy; the second is that the students’ vocabulary memory is old and mainly memorized. Based on this, according to Leach’s seven-meaning theory and related theories of cognitive linguistics, the countermeasures to solve this problem are proposed.
