我校外语系创办英语专业将近四年,在这四年间不断进行着教学改革和探索,虽然取得一些成绩,但还存在许多薄弱环节。本文着重就英语专业的教学改革谈谈我们的做法及改革思路。 一、改革教学内容 1、合理调整专业及知识结构,有计划地开展课程建设 职大为生产、服务第一线培养实用型人才,因此在教学中不能沿袭“学科中心”模式,只求理论知识的系统性、完整性,而要强调综合性、实用性,按照“能力中心”模式,培养实践能力强、能迅速适应岗位工作的人才。这几年办学过程中,我们多次修订教学计划,进行课程设置的研究。对英语专业的学生来说,英语是基础课、工具课、听说读写译,基础必须扎实。但基础课程开设太多,课时占用太多,必然影响其它专业课的学习,因此这里就要掌握
