黎紫书以热带的忧郁笔触、怀旧的沧桑、对人性暗角的挖掘、精致细腻的笔功在华文文坛崛起。以她并不太丰盈的创作量,与她在马华文坛很高的知名度比对,甚至有论者如黄锦树称之为“奇迹”。①她至今只出版一部长篇小说《告别的年代》(二〇一〇)以及三部短篇小说集《天国之门》(一九九九)、《山瘟》(二〇〇一)及《野菩萨》(二〇一〇)。此外,还有几部“锻炼自己、洗脱匠气”②的微型小说集与散文集。无论如何,在竞争日益激烈的世界华文文学界,她若没有真正的实力,难有一席之地,更甭说成名了。
