It is known that childhood psychoactive psychosocial factors such as divorced parents and long-term financial difficulties and low socio-economic status in adults are associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD), but their synergy with disease risk is not known . Methods and Results: 37 699 adult subjects in the Finnish public-sector study were included (subject data were linked to the National Socio-Economic Information Network through their address from 2000 to 2008 and children underwent psychological distress in 2008-2009 Impact and Investigation of Adult CVD Risk Behavior). The survey data is also linked to hospitalization, death and prescription drug information in the national registry to assess CVD risk factors for 2008-2009 and to determine the start of the investigation
