For the first time, the Nd and Ce isotopic compositions of the ore and rock in the Cenozoic migrated Xinrong manganese deposit and the carbonate carbonate manganese ore samples in the southern margin of the Yangtze platform were measured. It is inferred that the ore-forming material of the XinYing manganese deposit originates from Late Paleozoic manganese-bearing carbonate formations late in the middle Devichian in the area that have been eroded or structurally destroyed
