According to the survey conducted by UNESCO, there are 1.64 million Chinese cultural relics recorded in more than 200 museums in 47 countries around the world, while the number of Chinese cultural relics lost to overseas residents is about 10 times that of the number of museums. The specific number is difficult to count . Most of them were lost overseas before 1949, together with artefacts smuggled out of the territory by the Tomb after 1949, especially after the 1980s. At present, at least 10 million Chinese cultural relics are in different places.
