The COVID-19 pandemic, a crisis never seen before in human history, took the world by surprise, and pandemic prevention and control measures therefore become a common feature of the social and political lives of all countries, including China. Obviously, prevention and control of the pandemic is a public health issue, yet it is more than just a public health issue as it also involves state governance, diplomacy, and values, particularly human rights. The fight against COVID-19 is an extraordinary war in defense of the right to life and health, and also offers an opportunity for us to further think about, study, improve and develop human rights thought. During the bat-tle against COVID-19, I wrote some notes on human rights that I wanted to keep for my studies. I decide to publish six of these notes in hopes of promoting discussion on the development of human rights thoughts.
