免疫耐受是机体免疫系统接触某—抗原后形成的特异性无应答状态,是免疫应答的一种重要类型,免疫应答和免疫耐受一直是免疫学研究的两个核心主题.免疫耐受的诱导、维持和破坏与许多临床疾病的发生、发展和转归有关.人们企图用诱导和维持免疫耐受性的方法来防治超敏反应、自身免疫病及器官移植排斥反应;对某些感染性疾病及肿瘤,则可通过消除免疫耐受,激发有效的免疫应答来促进病原体的清除及杀伤肿瘤细胞.随着对免疫耐受机理的阐明,可以用诱导免疫耐受的方法,达到定向操纵免疫应答的过程,必将为医学的进步起到重大的推动作用.
