Don DeLillo is an outstanding representative of the contemporary American literary world. His novels are often able to comprehensively and collectively reflect many of the real problems of contemporary American society and therefore have the title of “copy machine in contemporary American society.” As a postmodern writer with a high degree of ecological consciousness, Don DeLillo explores and inquires the variety of “non-ecological” contemporary American society in his works to explore the path of ecological salvation. This article starts from the two dimensions of ecology and narrative salvation to explore the natural ecological crisis and urban ecological crisis presented in his novels and to find out the rescue tactics and ways after the writers hide in the postmodern narrative labels: natural aesthetics, Modern deconstruction. Finally, this paper points out that these two dimensions precisely reflect the overall ecocriticism of Don DeLillo from the perspectives of diversity, openness and dynamics.
