At the end of 2012, five street children in Bijie, Guizhou Province, who died of carbon monoxide poisoning on street litter by heating their fires, rekindled the concern of society and people about the survival of street children and left-behind children. According to incomplete statistics, 3 out of 10 rural children in rural areas are left-behind children. Although these left-behind children have received money from their parents to solve their material needs, they have lost so much money that they can not buy anything due to such factors as lack of education and loss of parental love. Childhood without parents is destined to be lonely and helpless. As in many places, many young and middle-aged men and women have migrated into the coastal cities such as Guangdong and Zhejiang to work in the remote mountain villages in the southeastern Guizhou province.
