从10月1日起，川、渝两省市已全面禁伐天然林，云南省也禁止了金沙江流域46个县的天然林采伐。在国家有关部门的组织协调下，中西部11个有天然原生林的省市，也正在制定对其境内的天然林实行全面禁伐的有关政策与措施。这无疑对维护长江上游的生态平衡，促进长江上游的水土保持
From October 1 onwards, Sichuan and Chongqing provinces and cities have fully banned natural forests, and Yunnan Province has also banned natural forest harvesting in 46 counties in the Jinsha River Basin.
