虚拟现实技术在城市规划设计中的使用,大大提升了设计工作的效率及质量,能够使设计师在城市规划中设计初出优化且完善的设计方案。主要是因为虚拟现实技术具有沉浸感和交互作用两个基本特征,其关键技术有3D建模技术、实时动态绘制技术、人及自然交互技术以及立体显示和传感器技术,这些技术是实现虚拟世界创建的关键。在城市规划设计中,依靠虚拟现实技术进行实时辅助,首先需要获取城市规划设计的具体信息,然后选择合适的VR系统,将具体数据信息转化为图像,进行虚拟场景建模及渲染,最后进行合成调试及漫游,确保场景能给人以真实感受。
