在重型机械行业中广泛采用闭式平面机架作为一些机器的架体,诸如:多层热压机、平板硫化机、初轧机、钢板轧机和超高压油压机等设备的机架都是采用闭式平面机架,这些机器的架体重量往往占机器总重的绝大部分。因此架体设计得是否合理,对充分发挥材料的强度容量、节约金属、降低机器的成本都有重要意义。但目前所用的传统设计方法,很难满足上述要求。
