With the broadcast of the first episode of “The Reader” by CCTV, Xu Yuanchong’s translated works and ideas once again sparked heated debate. In present China, Xu Yuanchong’s translation principle is close to tradition with a kind of post-feed perspective and is closely linked with the national conditions, social culture and reader’s aesthetic needs. This article, under the dual perspective of post-feedback and forward-lookingness, probes into the cultural ethics embodied in Xu Yuanchong’s translation and the principle of “Three Beauties” and probes into how to integrate it into global multiculturalism.
