The large number of historical documentaries appearing at the end of the 20th century show that the scope of the performance of recorded films is gradually expanding and the depth of presenting reality is increased. This article is based on the last chapter of “Slow Motion,” by Eric Barnour, Internationally Influenced (World Documentary Film History), Second Rev. 1993.
