Qiangtang (northern Tibet grassland) is a true sense of high ground. Men in northern Tibet run twice a year for tens, if not decades, or even months, of fun, hardships, and dangerous long distances. This is what makes the mysterious Tibetan pastoralists, the traditional means of transport - pack salt and the resulting exchange of farming and pastoral salt. Pack salt is one of the laborers who must be completed each year in northern Tibet. According to the ancients, a man can participate in nine packs of salt throughout his life, and can repay his parents for nourishment. In this sense, pack salt is beyond man’s claim for material benefits. Therefore, they will not be distressed for such work.
