巴音郭楞州清水河、乌拉斯台两农场的农机科技人员在推广农机新技术、新机具方面,都走在巴州的前面。 两农场大部分的中低产田因连年施入大量的化肥,造成地块板结,土壤中的有机质含量低,影响了作物增产。为此,1991年他们引进了4Q—1.5型玉米秸秆还田机和4YW—2型玉米收获机,将玉米秸秆直接粉碎还田,经过两年试验、示范、推广,现已全面普及应用。1993年清水河农场100%,乌拉斯台农场50%的玉米采用秸秆还田机械技术。
