Looking back at the major events of the electronic world in 1997, not only can we know the progress in the areas of computers, communications, and devices, but we can also perceive many laws. The speed of supercomputers has reached 1 trillion times per second. Internet users are heading towards 100 million people. Optical communications are heading towards 1 trillion bits/second. The number of transistors integrated on the chip is expected to reach 10 million, and they will work in all walks of life. The robot is about to reach 1 million. These incredible numbers in the past have made us feel deeply the rapid development of the information economy and the information society. The statistics of the computer network at the end of 1996 showed that more than 170 countries and regions have reached the Internet, with 16 million users and 60 million users. The Internet service industry has a direct income of 5 billion US dollars. In 1997, the number of people using the Internet will reach 70 million, and in 2001 it will reach 300 million people.
