Objective To investigate the effect of phone plus short message follow-up on quality of life in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods One hundred and sixty patients with coronary heart disease in a hospital from April 1 to December 31, 2012 were randomly divided into intervention group and control group, 80 cases in each group. All patients were treated by coronary heart disease routine care during hospitalization, outpatient control group outpatient follow-up, intervention group regular phone plus short message follow-up, intervention for 2 years. Observe the patient’s disease control effect, using the Seattle Angina Scale (SAQ) to assess the quality of life of patients. Results At 1 year and 2 years after discharge, the scores of SAQ in the intervention group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P <0.001). Within 2 years after discharge, the readmission rates, mortality and cardiac events in the intervention group were significantly lower than those in the control group Control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Telephone and short message follow-up can help improve the quality of life of patients with coronary heart disease, which is conducive to disease control.
