南宁机场在2015年的旅客吞吐量已突破1000万人次,面对日益快速增长的飞行量,作为管制员的首要任务就是提高管制服务意识,在保障航班安全的前提下,尽量减少航班延误,提高机场运行效率。但是由于南宁机场还仍是军民合用机场,并且由于盲降台与常用运行滑行道同侧,所以划设有较大范围的盲降保护区域,在多种外界条件并不是太有利的情况下,广西空管分局积极推动非全跑道起飞常态化运行,目的就是在安全的前提下保障航空器高效运行,减少延误同时也相对应的减少管制员的压力以及更大程度减少了五边的间隔。
