In this paper, we briefly introduce the origin of agile manufacturing and the actual situation of China’s auto industry, discuss the strategic objectives and the key technical research goals of agile manufacturing in China’s auto industry and the basic strategic considerations for implementing agile manufacturing in China’s auto industry.
