湖北省农科院粮作所科技人员经过多年潜心研究,于1990年育成粳型两系杂交稻新组合N5088S/R187。该组合具有产量优势明显、抗病性强、熟期适宜、米质优良和容易脱粒等特点。1993年试种示范面积达1万亩,平均亩产在450kg左右,比同熟期的三系晚籼杂交稻和常规晚粳稻稳定增产10%~5%,且繁殖制种产量高,符合商品化生产要求,有关专家预测,N5088S/R187在湖北省及长江中下游地区具有良好的应用前景。1 育性表现及应用效果湖北省科委邀请有关专家于1992年8月21日在武汉对N5088S进行T技术鉴定,确认N5088S是一个在长光照条件下不育下限温度较低,短光照条件下可育
