Jane and Scarlett are the heroines of the British classic novel Jane Eyre and the well-known American novel Gone with the Wind. They are two shining feminine images of the 19th century found in the world’s cultural treasures. When going deeper into their different self-fulfilling life processes and comparing them, we realize that Jane can only pretend to be a surrender, and Scarlett is destined to become a pure rebel. Discussed in three aspects: 1) states the different positions of Jane Eyre as a pretender and Scarlett as a pure rebel. 2) By comparing their different life experiences of self-actualization to highlight their formation and the inevitability of different positioning. 3) Explain why they formed different positions by tapping the links between the two heroines and their respective authors.
