北京为辽、金、元、明、清五朝建都之地,园林古迹之盛,可称全国之冠。然而,时代沧桑,许多古建,或毁于兵燹,或废弃颓圮,遗址逐渐湮没,而后变成街巷或村野。北京西安门内大街惜薪司胡同往南,有一条不宽的胡同,名叫图样山。据考证,这里曾因有过一座人工小山而得名。明代余继登著的《典故纪闻》记载:"西苑旧有太液池,……西南有小山,亦建殿于其上,规制尤巧,元所
