甄院士出身于广东开平的一个医学世家。父亲甄兆仁是一名医术高超的牙科医生,长兄嫂也是从事医务工作。在家庭的熏陶下,甄院士从小就立志做一名医生。1949年,新中国成立的一年,甄院士也有了新的开始,他顺利地考进了中山大学医学院,开始走向了自己的理想。1953年,甄院士参加了由著名病理学家梁伯强教授主办的“全国病理高级师资班”学习,这次学习决定了他今后的事业道路。 Zhen Academy was born in Kaiping, Guangdong, a medical family. He successfully admitted to the Medical School of Sun Yat-sen University and began to move towards his own ideal. In 1953, Academician Zhen Zhen attended the “National Pathology Senior Teacher Class” sponsored by Professor Liang Boqiang, a famous pathologist. This study determined his career path in the future.
