In arid regions, digging fish-scaly pit on the slopes of barren hills is a good way to intercept surface runoff and sediment. Some people claim that the fish-scale pit is blocking rainwater and afforestation should follow the setting of fish-scale pit. Some people think that the fish-scale pit does not have to be combined with afforestation and should not be reforested on fish-scale pit. In my opinion, the soil and water conservation scale pit and forestation are not contradictory, planting trees in the fish scale pit, on the one hand can improve land utilization and strengthen the scale pit to maintain soil and water; on the other hand can improve the survival rate of afforestation, and for the trees Growth provides a good growing environment, therefore, should be combined with afforestation when digging fish scoops.
