云溪桃水是日本有名的禅师,曾在好几个丛林禅院住过,饱参饱学。他做住持的这个禅院,吸引了许多学徒,但这些学徒多做不到吃苦耐劳,总是半途而废,这令他非常灰心。于是,他向众人辞去教席,并劝他们解散、各奔前程。此后,他的行踪再也无人知晓。 Yunxi Tao Peach is a famous Japanese Zen master who has lived in several jungle Buddhist temples and is full of knowledge. He was abbot of this monastery, attracting many apprentices, but these apprentices can not be hard-working, always halfway, which made him very discouraged. So, he resigned from the faculty, and advised them to dissolve, go their own ways. Since then, his whereabouts no longer know.
