由中国史学会与北京大学联合主办的戊戌维新一百周年国际学术讨论会,于1998年8月20日至23日在北京大学隆重举行.出席这次国际学术会议的共有160多位中外学者,包括中国大陆、香港、台湾以及日本、美国、法国、德国、韩国、澳大利亚的许多专家、教授,其中不少人都是长期从事中国近代史研究并卓有成就的国际、国内著名学者.因此这次会议可以说是本世纪末中外史学界一次难得的学术盛会.由于北京大学的前身京师大学堂正是1898年戊戌维新的产物,所以这次会议也是北京大学百年校庆的一项重要学术活动. The symposium on the 100th anniversary of the Hundred Days of Reform organized by the Chinese Historical Society and Peking University was held at Peking University from August 20 to 23, Including many experts and professors from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan as well as Japan, the United States, France, Germany, South Korea and Australia, many of whom are well-known international and domestic scholars who have been engaged in the study of Chinese modern history for a long time. The conference can be said to be a rare academic event for Chinese and foreign historians at the end of this century.Because Peking University was the predecessor of Peking University’s reform of 1898, it was also an important academic activity of Peking University’s centenary celebration.
