从1896年第1届奥运会到1924年第8届奥运会,网球一直是正式比赛项目。由于国际网联同国际奥委会对网球运动员业余身份的定义产生了分歧,奥运会取消了网球项目,从第9届到第22届奥运会的60年间,网球比赛从奥运会上消失。到了1981年,国际奥委会在巴登年会上批准网球列为1988年第24届奥运会的正式比赛项目,1987年,在伊斯坦布尔又通过了职业运动员可以参加奥运会网球比赛的决议,而在此之前的第23届奥运会上,网球作为表演项目,重新回归奥运赛场。本期我们先给大家讲讲1984年和1988年奥运会上,中国网球运动员参赛的故事。
From the first Olympic Games in 1896 to the 8th Olympic Games in 1924, tennis has always been an official competition. Due to the disagreement between ITLO and IOC on the definition of amateur status for tennis players, the Olympic Games canceled the tennis program. During the 60 years from the 9th to the 22nd Olympic Games, the tennis matches disappeared from the Olympic Games. By 1981, the International Olympic Committee approved the tennis at the Baden annual meeting as an official competition for the 24th Olympic Games in 1988. In 1987, it passed a resolution in which professional athletes can participate in the Olympic tennis tournament.
