Liver cancer is one of the malignant tumors in clinic. Surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy can bring the pain and side-effect to patients. So we should find more effective treatment to cure liver cancer. In our study, HepG2 cells are cultured by 90% DMEN and 10% FBS in 96-well plates. Treatment with different concentration Imperata cylindrica and Radix Bupleuri: 5 μmol/L, 10 μmol/L, 15 μmol/L, respectively, inhibition rate of HepG2 cells was detected by MTT assay. The result is that we find that HepG2 cells have higher inhibition rate and sensitivity to Radix Bupleuri at the same concentration via MTT assay (Fig.1). Higher concentration also consumingly inhibits cells growth than lower in the same drug. Most cells appear apoptosis and death. This study is an experimental basis of Chinese medicine treat liver cancer. It also provides a new idea for traditional Chinese medicine as an adjuvant therapy to cure liver cancer.
