阴山北麓农牧交错带位于内蒙古自治区中部,南靠阴山山脉,北接蒙古高原,包括11个旗县173个乡镇,总人口约190.3万人,其中农业人口166.6万人。总土地面积417.32万hm~2,其中耕地150.06万hm~2,占总土地面积的36％,耕地中水浇地仅占7.5％,其余均为旱坡地;林地20.13万hm~2,占总土地面积的4.8％,其中灌木林占34％;草场211.12万hm~2,占总土地面积的50.6％,其中退化草场占46.4％;
Yinshan north of the farming and pastoral cross belt is located in the central Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, south of the Yinshan Mountains, north Mongolian Plateau, including 11 counties and 173 townships, with a total population of about 190.3 million, of which 1.666 million agricultural population. The total land area is 4,177,200 hm 2, of which 1.5,060,000 hm 2 is cultivated land, accounting for 36% of the total land area, only 7.5% of irrigated land is cultivated land, and the rest are dry slopes. The total area of 213,100 hm 2 forest land, 4.8% of the land area, of which shrubs accounted for 34%; 21,11200 hm 2 grassland, accounting for 50.6% of the total land area, of which degraded pasture accounted for 46.4%;
