胡蜂是一类捕食性昆虫,多数种类是农、林害虫的天敌.据刘崇乐(1936)称我国的胡蜂有100多种.赵修复(1981)列有福建省胡蜂科21种和蜾蠃科12种.李铁生(1981)除对福建省胡蜂总科种类的名称作一些修订外,还描述一个新种.关于胡蜂的生物学特性,国内对以捕食棉花害虫为主的胡蜂种类有较多的研究.为了解胡蜂总科在我省发生的情况,作者于1979～1982年,在本省沙县进行种类调查,并对其一种马蜂生物学特性作了初步观察.现将结果整理如下.
