我国的国情决定职业教育担负着培养高素质劳动者的艰巨任务。但是职高学生的现状与职业技术教育的培养目标并不相符,绝大多数学生重工轻文,为学习而学习,为就业而学习,造成了职高学生综合素质不高,继续学习能力较低的状况。为了改变这一状况,作为语文教师,应充分利用语文的工具性和人文性,提高职高学生的思想境界和驾驭语文的能力,使其成为高素质的劳动者。
