泸县是全省19个百万人口大县之一,工业基础薄弱,2000年全县实现国内生产总值33.79亿元,其中工业增加值仅占国内生产总值的29.9％。全县限额以上工业企业只有27户,年销售收入5.48亿元。去年三讲以后,县委根据省委追赶型、跨越式发展的要求,理清了加快发展的思路,确立了工业优先发展的地位,响亮地提出了“一年四季抓工业,关键时候抓农业”的口号,力争3—5年,使工业增加值翻一番。具体从以下几个方面入手:
