Vo Trong Nghia studied architecture at the University of Tokyo and Nagoya Institute of Technology as a young man. After graduating, he returned to Vietnam and founded Votrongnghia Office in 2006. His first project to gain international renown was the bamboo-based wNw Cafe, which has since become the architectural language of his most personal character. Nghia excels at combining materials and structures to create panoramic landscape architecture. Air, light and water are his architectural spirits. Thanks to the knowledge he learned from his teacher, Professor Hiroshi Naito, when he was studying for a doctorate in Japan. This article describes wNw Bar and Green "Stacking Green as Nghia’s attempt to save on energy-efficient architecture. Both buildings originated from nature, and now they live in harmony with nature. Believe that with time, they will also be natural.
