An ultra long haul WDM (ULWDM) system in ZTE China is introduced in this report, whose transmission distance has been extended to 5490km, with 50GHz channel spacing in a bandwidth of 75nm in C and L bands. The structure and techniques of the commercial equipment and experiment facilities are introduced. Some important techniques - RZ modulation, distributed amplification, and automatic control--in this system are introduced. Some test results are described as well.
