Among 20th-century Western ethicists, Albert Schweitzer is a worthy figure: he is not only an acting humanitarian but also a unique thinker. As a world-famous great man, Schweitzer embodies the perfect combination of the ideal of all-round development of ancient Greece and the fraternity of Christianity. As a researcher of Indian thought and Chinese thought, he is also an outstanding representative of East-West changes. Alberto Einstein, the great scientist, has said that in the modern Western world, Schweitzer is the only figure of international morality comparable to Gandhi. Therefore, this article attempts to provide some information and opinions for the study of this important person through a preliminary review of Schweitzer’s ethics.
